Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) of Wangkhao Government College, Mon, jointly organized a program to celebrate the Hindi Diwas on the 14th of September 2021. Wangkhao Government College celebrated the Hindi Diwas with great zeal and enthusiasm to promote the Hindi language and to make students and teachers aware of the beauty and richness of the Hindi language, and also commemorate the event when it was adopted as one of the official languages of India. The event began with a note of introduction and welcome address by the chairperson, Mr. H David Konyak, Asst. Professor, Department of Economics. Mr. Koshy CP, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Political Science, delivered a talk on Hindi Diwas. Through his speech, he highlighted the significance of the language in connecting the citizens of India. He also stated the Hindi language is an incredibly important aspect of our rich heritage and culture. He further added that Hindi is one of the oldest and the most influential languages in the world, and we should take pride in speaking Batra Bhasha. In conclusion, he encouraged everyone to learn and speak Hindi. Meanwhile, a special medley of Hindi Bollywood song was presented by Mr. Amos Konyak, class of 2020, WGC. Mr. M Yingpai Konyak, Convener, EBSB featured the aims and objectives of the EBSB Committee and then screened a short documentary film on our partner state, Madhya Pradesh. The program concluded with a valedictory note by the chairperson followed by National Anthem.
